How to Book

Bank Holiday opening times may vary.
 

Performance days: Box Office closes 15 minutes after a performances starts.

Non-Performance days: The Box Office closes at 5pm. 
 

Please note all transactions made with a credit card will be subject to a £1.50 transaction fee.

Tickets may be posted to you for a handling fee of £1.00.

Please enclose a cheque made payable to ‘East Herts District Council’, stating your chosen performance, the number and price of tickets you require to: Hertford Theatre Box Office The Wash, Hertford SG14 1PS

Online: 24 hours

You can book online 24 hours a day for most productions at the theatre from this website (£2.50 per transaction).

Reservations:

Reservations may only be made for group bookings and must be paid 4 weeks before the performance.

Refunds and Exchanges

Tickets may be exchanged for an alternative performance of the same production. There is no charge for this service, but the original tickets must be returned to the Box Office at least 24 hours before the original performance.

Refunds are not available, although tickets may be offered for re–sale once all other tickets have been sold. There is a £1 charge per ticket for this service and the original tickets must be returned to the Box Office.
 

Access for All

Hertford Theatre has no disabled parking. Disabled patrons may be dropped off and picked up outside the theatre. The nearest disabled parking spaces are located in St Andrews Street car park.

The Auditorium can accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs for seated events. Please inform the box office when booking your tickets if you or any of your party will be attending in a wheelchair.

A hearing aid loop system is installed in the auditorium for the hard of hearing.

Audio description is available for most films screened at Hertford Theatre. An audio description kit can be reserved prior to your visit via the Box Office. 
 

Bad Weather Policy

In the unlikely event we have to cancel a performance because of seasonal bad weather, we will inform all bookers with as much notice as possible and offer one of the following:

1. Tickets to an alternative performance of the same production.

2. Credit to the value of the tickets purchased to be used as the booker wishes on a future show at Hertford Theatre.

3. A full refund.

If a performance goes ahead as planned, but you feel unable to travel due to bad weather, we will offer one of the following:

1. Tickets to an alternative performance of the same production.

2. Credit to the value of the tickets purchased to be used as the booker wishes on a future show at Hertford Theatre.

Please note: If a performance goes ahead but you are/were unable to travel due to bad weather, you must inform Box Office within 24 hours of the performance finishing in order for an exchange or credit to be administered.
