Heath Players
(Hatfield Heath)

An amateur performance by arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.

One of the most acclaimed plays of recent times, it explores the link between genius and insanity.
Catherine, the daughter of a brilliant and ground-breaking mathematician, is haunted by her father's past and the shadow of her own future.
When her father's genius slips away he leaves behind a mystery. As she struggles with her doubts Catherine also has to contend with her overbearing sister and the attentions of one of her father's students.

What is it that she has to prove, both to herself and others?

Filmed in 2005 starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, Hope Davis and Jake Gyllenhaal, the stage production provides the audience with plenty of humour as well as a lot to think about and a puzzle to resolve for themselves.
