Covid-19 Information and FAQs

To ensure your visit is safe and enjoyable, we've outlined some of the changes below and tried to answer any questions you may have.

This is new ground for us and we've worked really hard to make sure everything is ready and in line with Government guidelines, but things may still change.

We're looking forward to welcoming you back, when you feel ready!


Our cafe is operating with contactless payments only.


In line with government guidelines, the wearing of facemasks whilst in the cinema/theatre is mandatory from 10th December 2021.

By purchasing a ticket you understand you must wear a facemask whilst in the building and during the film/performance. 

If you arrive at the theatre without a facemask, you will be reminded about wearing one.  You will not be entitled to a refund or credit.

Children under 11 do not have to wear a facemask.  You can remove your facemask briefly to eat and drink.

BOOKINGS

All bookings must be made online at www.hertfordtheatre.com. Our Box Office will not be open to take bookings or enquiries, in person or via telephone.

All tickets and booking fees are non-refundable, but we have updated this policy in line with COVID-19.
 

We are not currently printing or posting any tickets, so please either print your ticket at home or have your digital ticket on your phone ready for when you arrive at your event.

You'll recieve a confirmation email when you book and then a few days before your visit, a reminder email.

 

Are you a wheelchair user and require a wheelchair space?

Please contact a member of our team on box.office@hertfordtheatre.com at least 72hrs before your desired event.

 

CLEANING & SAFETY

Hand sanitising stations will be dotted around the building on wall mounts. We expect our customers, staff and volunteers to make use of these whilst inside the building.
We expect customers, staff and volunteers to thoroughly wash their hands after using the toilet.


Our cleaning standards were already high before the pandemic, but will be enhanced by a cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise the high touch points within the auditorium after each event, including all seats being treated with an upholstery sanitiser after each event. 
Our whole building is cleaned thoroughly each morning. 

All staff have been trained to follow health and hygiene regulations.

 

ARRIVAL & YOUR VISIT

Please ensure you arrive by the time stated on your ticket, otherwise you risk not being able to attend your event.


Our Box Office will not be open to take any bookings in person or over the phone. Online bookings only.
Don't worry- our friendly staff and volunteers will be on hand if you have any questions!

When inside the building, we expect all customers, volunteers and staff to respect social distancing and hygiene measures. 

The theatre will close between events to allow for a thorough cleaning of all public spaces including the auditorium and enable the team to prepare the venue for the arrival of audiences for the next event.
 

TOILETS

Our toilets will be open. Washing your hands thoroughly with soap is expected.
 

CAFE

Our Café will be takeaway only and will serve hot and cold drinks and packaged snacks.
You will not be permitted to bring your own food and drink to an event, or use any refillable containers. 
Please note that our Café will have contactless payments only. No cash payments will be taken. 

 

 

At the end of your event, we ask you to help by either taking your rubbish home with you or putting it into our bins before you leave.
