An out-of-this world comedy inspired by female heroism, from the everyday to the extraordinary.
Rhea is the teacher terrified of travel.
Dreading a school trip, her panic rises until she’s rescued by three pioneering women from adventure’s golden age.
This time-bending play weaves together the global stories of real women from Hertfordshire who fought for suffrage (Lady Constance Lytton), travelled the globe (Violet Cressy-Marcks) and performed breath-taking aerial feats (Dolly Shepherd).
Nothing on Earth is developed from the hugely popular Hertfordshire’s Hidden Heroines project.
It celebrates generations of women who resolutely refuse to be put in a ‘box’. Join us at the start of a creative journey, becoming the first to experience a new play being made in Hertfordshire before touring locally and nationally in 2020.
Presented by Pursued by a Bear in partnership with Trestle, Hertford Theatre, Dacorum Borough Council, Pump House Watford and University of Hertfordshire’s School of Creative Arts and Heritage Hub.
