Join us for a Relaxed Performance of The Curious Advenrtures of Alice In Wonderland!
Our Relaxed Performance is for anyone who may benefit from a more relaxed theatre environment, but especially designed for families who have a member with SEN or Autism.
Ladles and Gentle-spoons, Toys and Curls!
Welcome to the rib-tickly, fun-fizzing, whack-tastic world of Wonderland!
Come with us on the Christmas adventure of a life-time as our intrepid explorer, Alice, stumbles and tumbles into a land packed-full of magic and mayhem.
Watch in wonder as she chases the hip-hop, tick tock of the White Rabbits’ clock into a world of Cheshire Cat grins, mushroom-munching curious caterpillars, tummy-busting tea parties and Queen-sized mountains of hearty jam tarts!
Inspired by the world-famous Lewis Carroll stories, The Curious Adventures of Alice in Wonderland is brought to you by the same team that have created all of the unique Christmas shows at Hertford Theatre in recent years.
With a brilliant blend of top-quality story-telling, superb singing, toe-tapping dancing, buckets of audience participation and a great big dollop of festive fun this is one Christmas tea party you will not want to miss!
"It’s panto but not as you know it…This 10th anniversary show is a sparkling spectacle of high energy performance and dazzling sets that won’t disappoint." Muddy Stilettos Herts & Beds on The Snow Queen 2019
The Curious Adventures of Alice in Wonderland at Hertford Theatre will transport you and your family to a song-packed, dance-jammed, laughter-filled land of spectacle and wonder this Christmas!
So grab a ticket before they shrink away and make sure you take a bite of this very special Christmas treat: Eat Me! You’d be a Mad Hatter to miss it!
Please be sure of your ticket selection as tickets are non-refundable. You can read our exchange policy by clicking here.
Our Christmas Show is most suitable for ages 3+, but it is a musical, with audience interaction, so younger children or those who are more sensitive to stimuli may find ear defenders useful.
Babes in Arms are most welcome to attend, but the show is not aimed at children under 2yrs old.
Our Christmas Show will have 2 acts of about 60mins each and have an interval in the middle.
How early should I arrive before the show starts?
Our shows get very busy, so we advise customers to be ready to take their seats 15 mins before their show starts.
Information about parking can be found by clicking here. Our cafe and foyer will be decorated beautifully, so you can relax before your show starts.
What's different about a Relaxed Panto performance?
The script and story remain untouched but we will remove special effects including pyrotechnics and turn the sound of the music down.
The lights inside the auditorium will be left on slightly and audience members are welcome to leave if they need a break.
You can make as much noise as you want to and there will be a chill-out space available.
There will also be a British Sign Language Signer for the performance.
All tickets include a £1.00 booking fee. There is an additional charge of £1 for postage.
Are you a wheelchair user or do you have limited mobility?
Please contact the box office in advance on 01992 531500 who will arrange seating for you and book your tickets.
